Episode Intro
The Greatest Conflict Within
Asil
The greatest conflict, the greatest dissonance, is not the one that we perceive outside, yet it is the one that we carry within. Now, you may feel like you live a perfect life, or you live a good enough life that is nowhere close to the conflict, to the dissonance, to the wars that happen outside of you, yet the source of all that is within our society.
The source of all conflict outside is the conflict that we hold within. We may not be fully aware individually where is that conflict. We may not be seeing or feeling any wars inside.
Following the Wounds Within
Asil
Yet when we follow even the smallest discomfort, when we follow even the smallest dissonance within, the displeasures, the smallest annoyances, the smallest sadness, the smallest anger within, and we follow that thread, it will carry us to a place where deep wounds lie.
The biggest wounds of our being. Maybe some of our deepest traumas. Maybe some of the wounds we carry from our generations before us. Maybe wounds we carry from past lives. Yet, guaranteed, in the deepest layers of our unconscious lie our deepest wounds, our deepest pains, covered by the comforts of society, by the comforts of relations, by the comforts of food, by the comforts of entertainment, by the comforts of normalization.
And it is truly with great compassion that I say it is not easy to look at our deepest pains. Because some of these pains, some of these fears are so strong, so large, so intense that it is truly hard to touch them, to truly feel them, to truly witness them without them completely overwhelming us, potentially destabilizing us in our lives.
The Demands of Life and Soul
Asil
So what is one supposed to do?
How is one supposed to live a life that is expected of us on a daily basis without any space to actually fall apart, without any space to truly reflect, contemplate, or to transform?
But at the same time, knowing and feeling the breeding and festering wounds of our ancestors, of our past lives, of our old versions, of our immediate childhood past. Maybe even more recent, of our latest relationships, of our latest interactions.
This is the greatest conflict of society, of modern-day life, of the present moment. It is the conflict within you, the conflict of the life that you have created for yourself, that you have expected to be your life today,
the life that is expected of you to live. And at the same time, a soul within you desiring to awaken, a soul within you wanting to clean and clear all of the weight that you have been carrying, and some of you carrying for generations or on behalf of your parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Some of you carrying this weight for your society, for your civilization, for your culture, for your traditions.
Some of you carrying this weight through many lifetimes.
How and when is a human that is stuck in a day-to-day experience of human life supposed to manage this inner conflict, these strong pulls pulling in two different directions? One requires consistent presence and appearance in life, action. One requires silence, observation, contemplation, so that we can change.
Suppressing the Call to Awaken
Asil
And we have managed this side of our emergent soul's needs to heal, to transform, to evolve
by suppressing it, by covering it up, by stimulating, by managing, by coping. And society has even given us great tools to suppress, to navigate, to cope with that which is emergent within. Now, what happens if this voice inside gets louder and louder? What happens if this desire is fueled by a strong energy that is in the collective?
Humanity wanting to awaken. And you are not exempt. You are equally pulled into this energy of change.
And no matter how much energy we put into suppressing, into coping, into navigating, into managing,
at some point, this energy will push through all of the walls that we have created to manage and sustain, to cope with this emergent reality within. The conflict is, where do we put our energy, our focus, our attention?
And who tells us how to prioritize the innate, most immersive desires from within?
Is it truly our education, the society, or the life that you have assumed to live? The promises you have made, the commitments you have? Or is it something much deeper that now needs your attention?
When Inner Conflict Becomes Outer Conflict
Asil
What if this inner conflict
has already become the outer conflict that we witness in society? What if every individual that is suppressing, that is unable to navigate these innate, most deeply established misalignments, is suppressing these aspects into the collective unconscious and they emerge in what we witness as the great conflicts in society?
We are ultimately a collective consciousness having a human experience on Earth,
trying to find our way to peace.
Yet this path to peace
will have to come from within. This path to peace will emerge from our ability to attend to the awakening call from within, to this healing that wants to be witnessed, to this presence that we are required to give ourselves.
And all our obligations and commitments will still be there when we return from this observation, from this witnessing, from this transformation.
Our Collective Responsibility
Asil
So denying our natural need to transform pushes our unprocessed into the collective unconscious. The collective unconscious manifests into the general observed reality of humanity.
Wars and conflict are therefore our creation,
humanity's creation, each individual's creation. So in that way, we all carry a responsibility
to learn on how we contribute to the collective unconscious. To understand that the deepest pains of our being are truly fueling society, are truly fueling our coexistence, our life on Earth, our ability to move from conflict to peace, from misalignment to alignment.
Choosing Attention and Self-Love
Asil
Today, you are faced with a choice.
The choice to dedicate time for yourself and only yourself.
Today, you're faced to give your attention no longer to the distractions of life, to the distractions of society.
Today, you're faced with a choice
to fuel your own awakening, your own healing. If your attention is your greatest currency, your energy in this life, in this moment,
where do you put your attention so it serves you in the greatest possible way? This is not a selfish act. It is an act of self-love, of self-compassion. And through this act of self-love, what emerges is the love for all life, for all your relationships, for all your creations and your extension into this reality.
Everything you do is fueled by this act of self-love. Giving yourself what you need in the moment. Most importantly, the things that are coming from a deep calling from within. A deep desire to heal, a deep desire to transform, a deep desire to evolve. A deep desire to resolve that conflict from within.
The Choice Before You
Asil
Therefore, how will you choose?
And if you choose not to give yourself that time, that space, if you choose to continue the path that you're on, how much longer will you be able to sustain what you have been sustaining?
Weeks, months, years, maybe until the end of this life.
And who besides yourself will receive
the consequences of you not tending to yourself, of you not giving yourself that attention, that self-love,
of you not discovering, exploring,
and realigning that conflict from within?
Who will bear the consequences besides you yourself? Your family, your friends, society at large, your children, your next generation.
And who will bear the benefits if you choose
that attention, that presence, and that self-love for yourself?
Imagine both of these timelines, both of these pathways opening as a result of one singular choice that you make today for yourself, for your life. One single choice changes you, changes your life, changes your world, and changes the collective.
